Situation in Sudan

Situation in Sudan

In 2018, the situation in Sudan was really bad. Millions of people demonstrated against the government on the streets, with three demands: freedom, peace, justice.

After five months, President Omar al-Bashir and the National Congress Party were ousted in a military coup, with the government initially led by the Transitional Military Council and now by the Sovereignty Council of Sudan. The Sovereignty Council has promised to lead a transition to democracy and to step aside by October 2022.

The program, sponsored by the “Palanca ev” African cultural association in Eberswalde, Germany, will be held February 8 from 1 to 5 pm, at Coppistraße1, 16227 Eberswalde, Germany.
