Sweetness for ‘Salty Eid’

There are two “Eid” holidays in Islam: Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, which is currently taking place and commemorates Ibrahim’s faith in God through his willingness to sacrifice his son. While the former holiday is known as the “sweet” Eid, the latter is referred to as the “salty” Eid. But even during the “salty” Eid, there is of room for sweetness. Cupcakes designed specifically for Eid al-Adha are particularly popular, according to Maha Safa, co-founder of Pastel Cakes, which is located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Pastel Cakes is open until 10:30 pm during Eid al-Adha, with an option for delivery.
