Tanween+ Launches Open Call for Designers in UAE

Dubai-based art and design organization Tashkeel has launched the second year of its Tanween+ program, which calls on designers to submit proposals for an “affordable, functional product that is inspired by and manufactured in the [United Arab Emirates].” Those chosen for the program collaborate with local manufacturers to produce a minimum of 10 products with a budget of AED 1,000 ($272).
