UN Grants Israeli Organization ‘Special Consultative Status’
The United Nations’ Economic and Social Council has bestowed “Special Consultative Status” on the organization ELEM – for Youth in Distress in Israel. It marks the first time an Israeli group that works with troubled teens has received this distinction. ELEM can now advise UN bodies on issues related to its field of expertise.
