The German Academic Exchange Service Egypt will host an open lecture series on urban planning and development at its regional office in Cairo on Sunday, August 25 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. Dr. Sahar Sodoudi, a professor of urban climatology, will deliver the first talk titled, “The Influence of Urban and Environmental Planning on Micro Climate, Health and Energy Consumption.” Dr.-Ing. Hassan Elmouelhi, a senior researcher and lecturer in the habitat unit at Technische Universität Berlin, will follow with a lecture called, “Co-production of Knowledge in Urban Development of Countries in Transition: Egypt and Tunisia.”
