Without Skipping a Beat, Israeli Scientists Recreate a Human Heart

Scientists working out of Prof. Tal Dvir’s laboratory at Tel Aviv University have used a 3D printer, together with human tissue taken from a patient, to recreate a complete, living, pulsating human heart. It is the first time a human heart using real tissue from a patient was created in this manner. The scaled-down heart [1] (click here to download wmv. file) can be seen in red, and the blood vessels in blue. Credit: Noor et al.; Advanced Science, 2019.
