Larissa Takchi, born and raised in Sydney, Australia, just won the reality television show MasterChef Australia. The 22-year-old, who is of Lebanese descent and comes from a large family, was the youngest contestant in the competition. “To my family, fiancé, friends, the Hills area and the Lebanese community, I have no words that come close to how much I truly appreciate all of your support. This Masterchef journey was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through and without the support back at home, I don’t think I could’ve done it. I think without my upbringing, and without my family, I wouldn’t be the person I am today – an average gal with a huge Lebanese culture,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
