A plea for forgiveness

One or two of you who read my critique of the 2002 model-Israel suggested I was rather harsh on the State and one person even called me a racist.

We are all entitled to our opinions and I respect those that disagreed with me.

While I wholeheartedly believe in every word I wrote, let me redress the balance for those of you who felt aggrieved.

Israel is one of the world’s greatest gifts, if not the greatest.

In less than a day you can travel its length, you can travel its breadth in half an hour. In fact Israel is 27 times smaller than Texas. Yet in this miniscule land one can pass through breathtaking mountain ranges, walk along clean golden beaches, swim in warm pools and streams, see the majesty of 4,000 years of history, witness the latest scientific achievements, ride camels through deserts, snorkel with dolphins, buy ancient coins in magical markets, taste appetizing foods, see the mix of dozens of cultures, cry over the tragedies that have beset this unique people, laugh in one of a myriad festivals, hear fine music, read wonderful books and much, much more.

Israel really is a magnificent place.

Come see for yourself.
