In the course of show-of-strength demonstrations in Gaza in which some 15,000 persons participated, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade threatened to avenge the death of one of their commanders, Muhammad Abayat.
The brigade is a part of Yassir Arafat’s Fatah.
In a declaration published Tuesday, they threatened to carry out acts of sabotage in areas captured in 1967, as well as inside the “Green Line”.

The director general of the movement in Gaza, Ahmad Ali Hallas, said that the Palestinian people are “the key to peace, security and quiet in the region,” and that the intifada will continue, with national unity.
