Al-Qa’ida: Queens Plane Crash was Terror

An Al-Qa’ida operative currently under interrogation by Canadian officials claims the American Airlines flight 587 that crashed in New York’s Queens neighborhood in November 2001 was the result of a terror attack.

According to the report in the National Post, the operative told Canadian Intelligence officials that a Tunisian operative who lived in Montreal boarded the plane with his Canadian passport while he had explosives hidden in his shoes. The explosives blew up in the plane and killed 265 people, he said.

The Tunisian, Abderraouf Jdey, was trained in Afghanistan with the 19 suicide bombers of the September 11 attacks according to the 9/11 Commission in the United States. However, he was dropped from the mission and recruited for a second wave of terror attacks, according to Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks.

American authorities insist that the plane crash was not a result of a terror attack and that there is no evidence of anything other than an accident. They are attributing the crash to a mechanical fault.
