U.S. President George W. Bush is expected to invite the Israeli and Palestinian prime ministers to Washington for separate meetings as early as mid-May.
The talks will be confirmed as soon as the Palestinian Legislative Council approves Mahmoud ‘Abbas as the Palestinians’ first prime minister.

That approval is expected early this week.
That will be followed immediately by the official publication of the “quartet”-proposed peace Road Map and a visit to the Middle East by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell.
