Leaders of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia are expected to meet in Egypt’s Sharm A-Sheikh on Monday to discuss ties between the countries and possible cooperation on regional water projects.
Al-Jazeera reported that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Sudanese President ‘Umar Hasan Al-Bashir and Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi will discuss launching joint projects, especially those concerning water from the Nile which flows through all three countries.

Egypt and Ethiopia are ironing out their differences and Al-Jazeera reported they have announced that any traditional disputes between the two countries concerning allocation of Nile River water are now a thing of the past.
The Nile and its offshoots flow though nine countries: Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zaire.
