First time in 20 years – Libya Attends Davos

A Libyan representative will be attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, for the first time in 20 years, according to Menareport.com.

Libyan Prime Minister Shukri Ghanim was invited to the session following recent announcements by the Libyan leader Mu’ammar Al-Qadhafi that his country is willing to eradicate any weapons of mass destruction.

Over 2,000 people from 94 states will be attending the annual event which opened on Wednesday and is slated to end on Monday.

One topic at the top of the agenda at the forum will be security. Iraqi ministers are expected to participate alongside high-ranking leaders.
