The head of USAID in the West Bank and Gaza has given a strong hint that the Palestinians are doing very little in trying to capture the terrorists who killed three Americans in the Gaza Strip last October.

Larry Garber was speaking to The Media Line and ISN News.

The State Department has prevented Garber and senior members of his humanitarian-aid team from entering the West Bank and Gaza since the killings.

Garber did not go as far as to say American humanitarian aid is dependent on the arrests of the terrorists, but Washington sources say there could be a link between funding to the Palestinian areas and a crackdown on terrorism.

The full interview with Larry Garber will be broadcast next week.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon could well visit Washington soon to present his plans for disengagement from the Palestinians, according to Hebrew media reports on Friday.

The trip was apparently discussed during a meeting on Thursday between Sharon’s Bureau Chief Dov Weisglass and George W. Bush’s National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice.

Sharon says if the Palestinians fail to begin implementing the Road Map peace plan Israel will have no choice other than to make unilateral moves.

He has indicated that would include the removal of Jews currently living in post-1967 territories.

Israel Radio is reporting Israel will not annex land as part of any disengagement.

Israel has unveiled its latest technology in a bid to stop the suicide bombers.

From now on passengers will have to pass through electronic turnstiles on buses before paying for their tickets.

The rear exit doors will be one directional preventing anyone from entering without the drivers’ permission.
About half of the 1,000 Israelis killed during the last three years of violence died at the hands of suicide bombers.
