The editor of the monthly magazine “Al-Fateh” (“The Conqueror”) made an appeal to Palestinian children in an editorial in the latest edition of the magazine: “Make a sacrifice, consent to go out to battle.”
These are the exact words the editor used while appealing to his young readers. In recent days, it seems as though young people are responding to this message. Over the past two weeks there have been two infiltrations into Jewish communities in the Gaza strip, in which five youths were involved. The youngest of them was just 14 years old.

“The Conqueror” appeals precisely to this age group. The magazine has been operating now for five months, and was exposed by The Media Line when its first edition was published.
It uses simple language, light stories and endearing illustrated characters. Yet the contents of the stories are far from “Grimm’s Fairy Tales” which other children around the world grow up reading.
The following is the complete translation of the editorial, as published in the latest edition of “The Conqueror”:
“Oh, lion cubs!
Our native soil, the homeland of the Muslims, is undergoing harsh attacks in the beloved Palestine, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chechnya, the Balkans, India, Kashmir…
The people and the lands are experiencing terrible tragedies at the hands of the enemies of God and of humanity – our enemy, the Jews and their allies in the countries of malevolence and wickedness in all five continents.
This means that we must be prepared for battle, prepared to make a sacrifice, prepared to devote our money, our lives, our time and effort for the mightiest Allah, for the victory of our homeland, and for defending our religion and our property. We must give our homeland everything we can, as simple as it may be. We must boycott their goods, their games, their newspapers, their foods and beverages [of the Jews and their allies]. We must take the small amount of pocket money we have and grant it to the wounded, the homeless and to the families of the deceased, the prisoners and those prosecuted.
These are the instructions of the school of the [prophet] Muhammad. The leader and messenger [Muhammad] has requested that we do this and we want to implement his school and to take an example from his greatest students: Abu Baker, ‘Omar, ‘Uthman, ‘Ali, Khalid, Al-Muthanna, Al-Zubayr, Talha, Abu ‘Ubayda, Mu’adh [all are historical prominent Muslims]. They sacrificed everything and devoted everything to the mighty Allah. They absorbed their blood into the lands of Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Egypt and it is for this reason that we cannot abandon these lands which were obtained with their blood and money.”
