The Israeli security services barred a number of Jewish men known for their radical and provocative behavior from entering certain areas of the territories.
“I will guarantee that in all those cities and villages under our control,
there will be only peaceful marches,” said Maj. Gen. Adnan Damiri, political commissioner and spokesman for the PASF told Defense News.
“And if the Israelis will evacuate from Areas C and B and leave it under our full
control, I can also guarantee peace and quiet … because those who try to escalate are not the Palestinians, but the Israelis.
“We will have thousands of cameras, and there will be no closed areas. We want everybody to see what goes on here,” Damiri said.
Damiri dismissed Israeli worst-case scenarios of tens of thousands of diplomatically
frustrated Palestinian civilians converging on Israeli crossings at multiple points along the 1967 border.
