Hizbullah: We’ll Launch Rockets South of Haifa

Hizbullah leader Hasan Na’srallah on Tuesday night gave his third speech since the beginning of the war with Israel, during which he announced the beginning of the next stage of Hizbullah’s strategic plan.

"I hereby announce that we are now entering the stage of launching rockets beyond Haifa," said Na’srallah in his speech. "If things further develop, then we will decide on the timing in which to begin the stage [of launching rockets] beyond Haifa."

Israel’s intelligence corps has information indicating that Hizbullah possesses Iranian-made rockets with a 160-km range. These rockets have the ability to reach Tel Aviv, which is located some 140km south of the Israeli-Lebanese border.

Meanwhile, Israeli army units continue their battle in the town of Bint Jbeil, Hizbullah’s stronghold in southern Lebanon. Yesterday, Israel announced it had gained control over the town, and now the soldiers are undertaking house-to-house searches in order to eliminate the terror infrastructure in the town. During the searches, the soldiers found weapons and Iranian-made phone-tapping devices.

Reports indicate that some 50 Hizbullah fighters have been killed during battles in the past few days. Two Israeli soldiers were also killed during the operation.
