Iranian television announced that the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, which keeps tabs on the press, issued instructions to stop publicizing American products, according to the Arabic daily, A-Sharq Al-Awsat, published in London. The Ministry added that the rationale for the decision was “to ensure consistency in advertising in the country.”
