Tehran says it has passed to the United Nations the names of 225 members of Al-Qa’ida.
The people whose names were submitted, have already been “repatriated” to their respective countries, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi.

The move was in accordance with U.N. Resolution 1455, Asefi told reporters in Tehran.
Iran has also handed the U.N. the names of 2,300 people Asefi said had been caught trying to enter the country from Pakistan.
