Islamic terrorists said behind international attacks

Those of you familiar with this column will no doubt have read the recent item about Gerry Falwell and his comments about Muslim terror.

At the time, this column suggested that maybe Falwell should have been more careful in choosing his language, but that there is much evidence of Muslims being behind major terror attacks, whether it is in the name of religion or otherwise.

The following is ISN Israel News’ daily radio roundup of news relating to Israel and the Middle East.

It is simply further justification of the claim that Arabs and Muslims are behind most of the world’s major international terror attacks:

British police officers are holding a Middle Eastern man under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The man, a Jordanian-Palestinian cleric, is suspected of being linked to Al-Qaeda.

There are reports that the Chechen terrorists who held 700 people hostage in a Moscow theater were helped by Arab or Muslim terrorists.

The reports follow media items claiming that the neighboring Georgian authorities arrested 15 Al-Qaeda operatives whom it’s believed were working with the Chechens.

It’s understood the 15 were handed over to the United States.

An Israeli woman was among the injured in the Russian military raid on the theater.

Valeria Lissanski is said to be in moderate condition in a city hospital.

A gunman assassinated an American diplomat in Jordan this morning.

The man, named as Laurence Folley, was leaving his home in the capital, Amman, when he was hit.

Reuters is reporting Folley worked for the US Agency for International Development.

There’s been beefed-up security outside US buildings in Jordan for several months.

The Israeli mission and diplomats in the city have also come under repeated attack over the last two years.

The three victims of yesterday’s bombing attack at Ariel in Samaria are being laid to rest today.

41-year-old Major Tamir Masad from Moshav Ben Shemen,
First Lieutenant Matan Zagron, 22, from Itamar,
and Sergeant Major Amihud Hasid, 32, from Tapuah.

Two people are still in serious condition, following the attack, in which 18 were wounded.

Hamas and the Aksa Martyrs Brigade both say they carried out the attack.
