Israeli police and military officers from the Judea, Samaria and Jordan Valley region say they have foiled 55 terror attacks since the start of the year.
They say 40 of those were planned to take place inside Israel’s pre-1967 uncontested borders.
Security officials say they have killed 13 Palestinians over the last few days.
They say they were planning terror attacks for Remembrance Day and Independence Day.
Israelis began marking Remembrance Day for the country’s fallen soldiers and those killed in terror attacks on Sunday night.
Security is at its highest throughout Israel for the day, which is followed on Monday night by Independence Day, which lasts until Tuesday evening.
The country’s roads are expected to be full on Tuesday despite the fear of possible terror attacks.
The country’s national parks say they will provide tight security for the traditional day of barbeques and picnics.
The Palestinian areas are under a closure with some areas facing a curfew for the duration of Remembrance Day and Independence Day.
