Israel Completes First Stage of Security Buffer

Israel has finished work on the first part of its security buffer between Israeli and Palestinian cities.

The first section is 77 miles long and covers much of the northern end of the West Bank.

The 11-mile first phase of the buffer around Jerusalem has also been completed.

The construction to date is about a third of the total, according to Israel’s Defense Ministry.
