Jordan and Israel are looking to sign a joint-production agreement with the European Union.
Jordanian Minister of Industry Dr. Mahmoud Abu Hamour and Israel’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Ehud Olmert have also been holding talks in the framework of Qualified Industrial Zones [QIZ], a U.S. initiative encouraging Jordan to export to the U.S.
The ministers discussed increasing cooperation in various industrial fields and developing technological projects with American cooperation and funding.

Olmert says he wishes to increase cooperation in other fields such as environment, education, employment and welfare.
Olmert greeted America’s contribution to strengthening ties between Israel and Jordan, and added that he hopes to see more European involvement in the future on these issues.
