Israeli army releases Gaza tunnels footage

The international community launched another attack on Israel over the last few days because of its military incursion into Rafah, a town in southern Gaza.

Israel was accused of making hundreds homeless and offering them neither shelter nor food.

Israel maintains it did give food to the newly homeless, who were housed in community centers.

However, Israel initially failed to provide proof of the reason for its entry into Rafah. Now, a week later, film footage is available showing why Israel decided to launch Operation Root Canal. Watch the film footage [1].

Israel says the Palestinians have dug more than 100 tunnels under the border with Egypt over the last three years.

These tunnels are used to smuggle weapons, explosives and terrorists, Israel maintains.

Many of them begin under the homes of Palestinians, with the entrances carefully hidden under tiles, rugs and furniture.

The final part of the video footage clearly shows Israeli troops blowing up a tunnel with smoke billowing out of the entrance to the tunnel from within a residential compound.
