Israel’s police force announced today it is setting up an inquiry, after an officer opened fire on a car in Northern Israel yesterday, killing the driver and injuring his passenger.
The police officers involved say they asked the driver to stop his vehicle, but he deliberately sped up and hit one of the officers.

Eyewitnesses from the nearby Arab village Kafr Kana say the driver did not intentionally drive towards the officer.
The initial reports suggested the incident may have been a terror attack.
