Report: Israel negotiating for Indian drone

Israel is in talks with Indian authorities to purchase Pilotless Target Aircraft, the Indian Financial Express is reporting.

New Delhi is represented by the Defense Research and Development Organization in talks over the sale of the Lakshya target drone.

The likely sale is part of a wider deal between the two countries.

Israel is India’s second-largest military equipment supplier, according to the Express.

Talks apparently began during the Aero India 2003 exposition earlier this month.

The Lakshya is a reusable remote operated aerial target system, for providing training to gun and missile crew and air defense pilots.
