Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is denying reports that it intends asking new American and British forces operating in the kingdom to leave in the event of a war.
“Prince Sultan denied the presence of these troops in the real term, but pointed out that there have been aircraft, soldiers and technicians from U.S., Britain and France for the past 12 years in accordance with the UN security council resolution with regard to Safwan agreement between the concerned state and Iraq government, stressing that this situation is for the interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq simultaneously,” the SPA state news agency reported.
