Reports coming from the Gaza Strip late on Sunday suggest at least one Israeli soldier has been killed and several others injured in an attack on an Israeli army post.
At least 15 ambulances made their way under heavy Palestinian gunfire in a bid to ferry the wounded to hospitals from the scene of the attack at the Gush Katif Junction.

Initial reports from the Israel Defense Forces suggest a massive explosion took place underground in a tunnel built by Palestinians under the post. Estimates put the amount of explosives in the hundreds of pounds, if not more than 1,000.
