Scores Feared Dead in Triple Egyptian Resort Bombing

Three terrorist bombs exploded in the resort town of Dahab, Egypt, on the Sinai Peninsula along the Red Sea, on Monday night. According to an Egyptian source in Dahab, the first explosion took place in the El-Mashrabiya hotel, killing at least seventeen and injuring 100. The second blast hit a restaurant and the third, the market place. No casualty figures were available for the second and third blasts, but eyewitnesses are telling of body parts strewn about in the streets. Hotels on the Red Sea are filled to capacity because of a five-day Egyptian holiday.
