Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s son ‘Omri, a member of the Israeli parliament, will be indicted for a series of crimes stemming from his handling of his father’s political campaigns.
Attorney General Menahem Mazuz announced on Tuesday that charges will include campaign law violations, perjury, forging corporate documents and breach of trust.

The younger Sharon faces up to five years in jail if convicted on all charges.
‘Omri Sharon issued a statement on Tuesday that attacked the campaign law, calling it “impossible” to uphold and claiming that he is the only one ever charged for violating it. He did not respond to the perjury and forgery charges.
