Terror Attack in Israel; Three Killed

After months of relative quiet in Israel, terror struck again. A suicide bomber killed three and injured three in a bakery at the southern resort city of Eilat. The attack was the first since last April when a suicide bomber detonated his belt in Tel Aviv, killing nine and wounding sixty. It was the first attack ever in Eilat, which adjoins the Jordanian port city of Aqaba on one side and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula on the other.

Police fear at least one more terrorist took part in the operation and is still on the loose.

Two Palestinian groups have already taken responsibility for the attack, Fatah’s Al-Aq’sa Martyrs Brigades and the Islamic Jihad. Fatah is headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud ‘Abbas.
