The five, a Saudi, a Sudanese, a Kenyan and two Turks were arrested on Saturday morning after their houses were raided. The Malawi Police claim the arrests were carried out by American CIA agents and not by locals.
A Malawi Airlines spokesman told A-Sharq the American embassy hired one of their planes on Tuesday. Although unofficial, it was reported the five were on the plane with American officials, their destination unknown.
