The American Embassy in Yemen has warned U.S. citizens in the country to avoid traveling to the southern port city of Aden due to a possible terrorist threat against a hotel popular with foreigners, DPA reported.
The embassy warned Americans in Yemen to increase their level of alertness and refrain from traveling to Aden until after January 1, 2005. The warning specifically mentioned the Aden Hotel.

Security officials in the southern Arabian Peninsula nation refused to comment on the warning. It is not known what prompted the U.S. Embassy in ‘Sana to issue its statement.
