Iraq has been the scene of upheaval of late, whether military or civil. There have been attacks on US troops based in the country, a deadly American drone attack against a top Iranian general, and civilian protests against government corruption and undue interference by Tehran.

Charles Bybelezer, The Media Line’s managing editor, recently spoke with Jonathan Spyer, an analyst at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies, who says stability in Iraq could be a “tall order” right now.
