Iran Seeks Unified Muslim Support for Hamas, Gaza

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called for unified support from Muslim nations for Gaza, stressing international organizations’ role in the crisis. The remarks came during meetings with newly appointed ambassadors from Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Slovenia in Tehran, according to the president’s office.

Raisi spoke to Tunisia’s Ambassador Imad Al-Rahmuni about the need for Muslim countries to band together to protect interests such as Palestine. Al-Rahmuni reciprocated the sentiment, affirming Tunisia’s commitment to the “Palestinian cause.”

In a discussion with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi, Raisi touched upon the importance of strengthening bilateral ties for regional stability. Al-Anzi expressed optimism about improving relations, emphasizing shared interests over differences.

Meeting Slovenian Ambassador Igor Jukic, Raisi underscored the obligation of international organizations to intervene in the Gaza situation. Jukic praised Iran’s relations with Slovenia and pledged to further bilateral ties.
