Restaurant Called ‘October 7’ that Glorifies Hamas Attacks Opens in Jordan

A new restaurant called “October 7,” which apparently glorifies the Hamas attacks on Israel on that date, has opened in Jordan.

A video of the shawarma restaurant, in the Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi district near the Dead Sea, appeared on Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter. It was published by Dima Tahboub, a Jordanian former lawmaker who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood and is known for praising attacks against Israelis.

“The 7th of October Restaurant has been opened in Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi,” Tahboub posted, along with a smiling emoji.

On Oct. 7, several thousand Hamas terrorists and their supporters infiltrated Israel and slaughtered over 1,200 people, kidnapped more than 240, and injured many more.

Israeli Opposition Leader Yair Lapid posted on X and called on the Jordanian government to denounce the restaurant.

“The disgraceful glorification of October 7th has to stop. The incitement and hatred against Israel breeds the terrorism and extremism which led to the brutal massacre of October 7th. … We expect the Jordanian government to condemn this publicly and unequivocally,” he wrote.

Since the war sparked by the terror attack began, the Jordanian leadership and people have taken a clear stance against Israel, with Jordan recalling its ambassador from Israel and asking the Israeli ambassador not to return to Jordan. Queen Rania has publicly criticized Israel and there have been massive protests outside the Israeli Embassy in Amman.
