The typical reciprocal allegations over the success or lack of success by the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) Movement – the pro-Palestinian organization that seeks to isolate Israel by convincing organizers of events related to the arts, professions, academics, or. science to cancel Israel-based affairs is in full gear following word that the European Network for Mental Health Service Evaluation has reneged on its commitment. The cancellation is believed to be the first time such an event was pulled after it had already been announced. The scrubbing of the conference didn’t pass without backlash from the organization’s leadership. According to the Israeli daily Haaretz, the decision was made by one man: the organization’s executive director, Mike Slade. Other members of the executive committee submitted their resignations in protest of the decision.
