British Academic Boycott of Israel Ended

The UK‘s largest union of academics has ended its attempt to boycott Israel after it was warned its actions were illegal. In May the University and College Union decided to boycott Israeli universities to protest Israel‘s "occupation of the Palestinian territories." The move was highly criticized at the time. The union decided to suspend the effort when its own lawyers determined the boycott to be illegal.
