An earthquake struck in Baluchistan province Pakistan near the Iranian border on Wednesday killing more than 200 Pakistanis who lived in homes constructed from mud that collapsed when the quake hit. The Reuters news agency reported that the quake was so powerful – 7.8 according to the US Geological Survey — that a small island emerged in the waters of the Arabian Sea.
