First volunteer receives Italian coronavirus vaccine

The first volunteer, a woman in her 50s, received a dose of a potential coronavirus vaccine at the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases in Rome as part of human trials that are expected to last six months. The potential vaccine is being developed by Rome-based biotech company ReiThera in collaboration with researchers at Spallanzani.
