Palestinian Arab Idol Singer dies of COVID-19 in Kuwait
The Palestinian singer who won the hearts of viewers in the first season of SuperStar, now known as Arab Idol, has died from the coronavirus at the age of 38, Mohamed Lafi was a contestant on the show in 2003, and was a crowd favorite, though he did not win the talent contest. He reportedly died on Saturday in Kuwait at Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Hospital. Lafi, who was blind from the age of 14, did not continue on to a singing career.
