Russia maintains ties with all major players in the Middle East, including Israel, Iran, Lebanon, the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas. Moscow has consistently called for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas and urged the resumption of peace talks aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in the region.
The visit comes as Russia continues to criticize US diplomacy for failing to de-escalate the current Middle East crisis, pushing for international efforts to find a peaceful settlement.
