Active cases rise to over 11,000 in Israel

Active cases of the coronavirus rose to over 11,000 cases for the first time in several months. There are also 190 Israelis hospitalized with the virus, including 97 in serious condition, of which 17 are on respirators. The infection rate of the coronavirus in Israel is 1.79%. Meanwhile, Israel’s Health Ministry has reported that the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine against contracting the coronavirus stands at 39%, but the efficacy of the vaccine in preventing serious illness is 91%.
