Germany, Austria and Switzerland lifting most COVID restrictions
Germany, Austria and Switzerland will lift many of their restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Germany on Wednesday announced a three-stage plan to lift some restrictions first on private indoor meetings and at stores that sell non-essential items, followed by outdoor events and nightclubs, and then restaurants. All major restrictions, including requirements to work from home, will expire on March 20, with the exception of the requirement to wear masks indoors and on public transportation. Switerland and Austria announced that they will lift almost all COVID-19 restrictions by next month, with the exception of some public mask-wearing requirements.
