Iraq signs deal to receive Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines

Iraq will receive 1.5 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine after signing a preliminary deal with the pharmaceutical companies. Health Ministry spokesman Seif Al-Badr said that the first vaccines were scheduled to arrive in early 2021. Members of the security services and the elderly would have priority in receiving the vaccinations, he said.
