Houthi Official: Gaza Attacks Will Continue Regardless of US-Iran Deal
A senior figure in Yemen’s Houthi movement declared Wednesday that any potential agreement between the United States and Iran over Tehran’s nuclear program will not influence the group’s ongoing attacks related to the war in Gaza. Houthi spokesperson Mohammed al-Bukhaiti said on social media that the group will continue targeting Israel until its military campaign in Gaza ends and humanitarian aid flows freely into the territory.
“The operations will continue until the Israeli aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted,” al-Bukhaiti posted on X.

They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

His statement comes ahead of a meeting reportedly scheduled for Saturday between US and Iranian officials to discuss Iran’s nuclear program and broader regional tensions.
The Houthis, who are aligned with Iran, began attacking Red Sea shipping routes late last year, saying they were acting in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. On March 15, the US military resumed airstrikes on Houthi targets in northern Yemen after the group threatened to strike vessels linked to Israel unless aid was allowed into Gaza.
Late last month, President Donald Trump posted on social media that “Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN. IRAN will be held responsible.”
The planned talks with Iran, set to take place despite continued Houthi strikes, suggest that the president is no longer interested in painting Iran and the Houthis with the same brush—and the Houthi response suggests that they aren’t interested in that either.
