IDF Reports 400 Hezbollah Operatives Killed in Targeted Lebanon Strikes

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued its extensive operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Saturday, targeting command centers, weapon caches, and tunnels. According to military assessments, approximately 400 Hezbollah operatives have been killed since ground operations commenced on Monday.

In a significant strike, the IDF reported hitting a Hezbollah command center located within a mosque at the Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital compound in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon. The military stated the operatives were using the center to plan attacks against Israel. The strike, described as precise and based on intelligence, was carried out by drones.

Before executing the attack, the IDF warned residents via text messages and phone calls to evacuate, urging them to cease all hostile activities being conducted from the hospital compound.

Meanwhile, in northern Israel, three civilians were lightly injured in Hezbollah rocket strikes on the village of Deir al-Asad. A separate barrage of rockets targeted areas in the Jezreel Valley and Wadi Ara, with most of the missiles intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems.

The IDF also confirmed it destroyed several Hezbollah tunnel shafts used for cross-border operations and uncovered underground weapon caches and observation posts in southern Lebanon. The IDF said dozens of Hezbollah operatives were killed in these actions, many during airstrikes directed by ground troops.

Israeli officials maintain that the ongoing ground operations are aimed at dismantling Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon, particularly in villages close to the Israeli border.
