Iran’s President Raisi Extends Invitation to International Investors for Energy Projects

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called upon international investors and members of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) to engage in the nation’s energy initiatives. Speaking Saturday at the seventh GECF Summit held in Algiers, Algeria, Raisi emphasized Iran’s readiness to foster systematic collaboration through joint investments, sharing knowledge, and experiences in various sectors of the gas industry, including extraction, processing, transfer, and trade.

Highlighting Iran’s significant natural gas reserves, strategic geographical location for gas transit, and advanced technological capabilities, Raisi articulated Iran’s ambition to serve as a pivotal energy hub and a reliable conduit for gas distribution between producers and markets worldwide. With Iran possessing the world’s second-largest gas reserves, according to the Energy Information Administration of the US Energy Department, this call for collaboration positions Iran as a key player in the global energy landscape, aiming to enhance its contribution to the international gas trade and technology exchange.
