Israeli Jets Strike Iranian and Hizbullah Targets in Damascus
Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the outskirts of Damascus from the Golan Heights late Wednesday, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported. The attack targeted areas believed to house Iranian and Lebanese Hizbullah forces, causing material losses, but the ministry reported no casualties. Syrian air defenses claimed to have intercepted several missiles during the assault. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights noted that the strikes impacted sites in Set Zaynab and Babbila and were the 17th such Israeli operation this year. The observatory said there were an unspecified number of casualties and individuals missing following the attack.
