Jordan, Egypt Cement Partnership With 12 New Agreements

Jordan and Egypt inked a dozen agreements on Monday, amplifying their collaboration in diverse sectors, Petra news agency reports. These accords, ratified after the 31st session of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee in Amman, encompass economic policy, financial regulation, environmental conservation, social welfare, media, culture, vocational education, social security, healthcare, religious trusts, and postal services.

Jordan’s Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh heralded the Jordan-Egypt alliance as a benchmark in unified Arab initiatives, highlighting both nations’ continuous efforts in synchronizing viewpoints on mutual concerns. Khasawneh further emphasized the mutual belief of Jordan and Egypt that genuine regional equilibrium is contingent on a just and enduring resolution to the Palestinian dilemma, grounded in the two-state solution concept.

On the other hand, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, leading the visiting delegation, recognized the meeting as an extension of the “strategic and historical” ties binding both countries. Madbouly highlighted their successful navigation through prior committee challenges and expressed an eagerness for future collaborations, especially in emerging areas such as renewable energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia.
